GAME CHANGERS GALA
BREAKING THE ICE

Presented by Kamloops Game Changers Society, working with Discover Signature Events
Announcing a sports gala event designed to create real change in how our community understands and supports mental wellbeing in sports. Bringing together athletes, business leaders, mental health professionals, and families for meaningful conversations about confidence, performance pressure, identity, and long-term emotional health. Sponsors will be part of an elevated program that includes an exclusive golf experience with Stanley Cup champions Joe Watson and Mark Recchi. Participants can connect directly with these athletes who have lived the highs and challenges of professional sports. The evening gala continues the impact with motivational speaking, personal stories, and a Q & A panel with our celebrity guests, followed by opportunities for sponsors to share a table with the players. By supporting this event, your business/organization is helping open doors to mental health resources, reduce stigma, and strengthen the systems that allow children, youth and adult athletes to thrive on and off the playing arena. Your partnership shows a clear commitment to community wellness, leadership, and the future of sports in our region.
Discover Signature Events is supporting a community-focused fund T.E.A.M. (Together Empowering Athletes Mental Wellness) that is dedicated to providing free seminars, training, workshops and other resources that promote mental wellness and encourage positivity in sports. Through the Kamloops Game Changers Society initiative, we aim to ensure that individuals of all ages have access to valuable resources, expert guidance, and supportive programs that strengthen both mind and body. By removing financial barriers and bringing these opportunities directly to the community, the fund strives to create a healthier, more connected environment where everyone (coaches, parents and athletes) can learn, grow and thrive.

Finding the right counselor can make a real difference in your path to wellness. The Counselor Connection Event offers a welcoming way to meet local clinical counselors and discover who feels right for you before booking a session.
This unique evening is modeled after a speed-dating format, designed to help you connect quickly and meaningfully. Participants will meet several licensed counselors in short one-on-one conversations, gaining a sense of their approach and personality in a relaxed, respectful setting.
